PLASTICITY PRIZE to Launch in Amsterdam

Do you have a brilliant original idea/ genius invention/ innovative entrepreneurial e-thingy related to second-life plastic or the circular economy?
And are you ready to put your brainchild in front of an audience of around 200 business people and plastics practitioners?
The inaugural PLASTICITY PRIZE will be awarded on 20 June this year at Plasticity Amsterdam.
Here’s what you need to know…
The Plasticity Prize is designed to foster ideas and expose start-up entrepreneurs to an audience. Plasticity events attract a wide range of people in business, government, academia and sustainability organisations
The Prize
The Plasticity Prize is a return economy flight for one person from the forthcoming Plasticity’s location (in this case, Amsterdam) to the subsequent Plasticity's location (in this case, Bangkok) with 2 nights' hotel accommodation AND a presentation slot at that Plasticity event (Bangkok in late November).
Judging
A Plasticity Panel will determine up to 6 finalists.
Finalist entrepreneurs will attend the forthcoming Plasticity (Amsterdam) as our guest, and have the opportunity to pitch to the 200-odd participants in the room. Audience delegates at the event will vote via an electronic app. The winner will be the idea with the most votes. The winner will be announced at the post-event meet & greet.
Criteria (Participants)
Participants in the Plasticity Prize must be:
Early stage entrepreneurs (seed stage or pre-seed)
18 Years or older
Able to pitch for 5 minutes
Able to pitch in English
Criteria (The idea or product)
Ideas for The Plasticity Prize must:
Be an original idea
Be related to plastics innovation or the circular economy
Demonstrate problem and solution
Show a product or service
Show evidence of - or clearly explain - how your idea will get traction
Show the business model
Show market opportunity
Show market approach and strategy
Introduce the team and key stakeholders
Identify any competitors
The Method
Entrepreneurs submit their idea via email (link below).
Email to include the following (required) info:
*First name, *Last name, *Age, *Company, *Email, *Outline of idea/product (300 words max). Optional: link to video (60secs max)
The Plasticity judging panel will choose up to 6 finalists.
Each finalist will be invited to pitch (5 mins max) their idea to the audience at the next Plasticity (Amsterdam), where audience delegates will vote for the ultimate winner.
